Tonle Sap Lake
Cambodia is known for this lakes. It is the biggest freshwater lake in SouthEast Asia. Its is located in the NorthWestern part of Cambodia. There is also a huge population on the floating village, which support human lifestyle. The river size changes according to the seasons. People over there would live there because they cannot afford houses on land. It is because they need to pay the government money to buy land.
We took a boat ride through the lake. Everything over there was floating. Houses, schools, church, market and even a BASKETBALL COURT! We were amazed by how they would
play basketball. The court may not be stable for them to play. They would need to travel everywhere in the lake through a small boat. The most special thing is they would get their groceries through the floating market. Vegetable seller would come floating by and the people would just call out if they want to buy.
Their lifestyle over there is very relaxed. They do not need to worry a lot. The people over there mainly consume fish to get their protein.
We went to the floating market to buy souveniers. Once we reached there, a boy and a girl who is about 3 to 5 years old holding a snake came to us. We were very scared. They even pose for us.
